Shonté Reeves, LCSW

For over 10 years, Shonté Reeves has worked in various capacities to serve high risk children and families. She has utilized general and trauma-focused interventions to help children between the ages of 3 to 18 to identify, process, and cope with their trauma while assisting them with stabilizing their placements, managing their behaviors and meeting their individual goals. Earning her license with the BBS as a clinical social worker in 2017, Shonte served in the foster care sector of the helping profession as both a foster family agency social worker and supervisor, supporting foster families with providing and maintaining stable environments for foster children, supporting other social workers in meeting the needs of children placed in foster homes and implementing the policies set forth by DCFS, CCL and OHC.

Shonte currently serves as a program supervisor with intensive mental health programs (Wraparound and IFCCS), using the Department of Mental Health policies as a tool to guide her teams to utilize interventions that meet the needs of children and families while maintaining contract compliance.

Clinically, Shonte believes in meeting clients where they are and providing clients the opportunity to lead their treatment. When treating clients, she utilizes interventions based in cognitive behavioral theory and social learning theory to help clients identify and process issues that hinder their functioning.
