Health & Wellness

Health is a state of being. It refers to physical, mental and social well-being. Wellness is the state embracing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It aims to increase well-being. Our goal at BDIPS is to integrate the state of being, with a healthy lifestyle, in an effort to create the best version of self.

There are five main aspects of personal health:

  • Physical

  • Emotional

  • Social

  • Spiritual

  • Intellectual

As we come to understand that “well-being” encompasses mental, physical and emotional health, it is imperative to be mindful of the main contributing areas of the continuum of wellness. This continuum includes the following 14 classifications:

  • Self-Responsibility

  • Loving

  • Breathing

  • Eating

  • Moving

  • Sleeping

  • Feeling

 
  • Thinking

  • Playing & Working

  • Communicating

  • Intimacy

  • Finding meaning

  • Transcending

  • Sensing
